PowerLab/MacLab的构想最初来源于新西兰的Otago大学生理学系。他们对当时使用的老式纸
带记录仪(多导生理记录仪)的性能不是十分满意。鉴于当时Macintosh计算机的发展潜力，他们要求
Michael Macknight 先生(ADInstruments的创始人之一)帮助设计一种计算机化的多导生理记录仪
以代替老式的纸带记录仪(多导生理记录仪)。
Michael于1985年制造了第一台MacLab，一台连接Macintosh计算机的多导生理记录仪。不久，
他又设计了两个主要软件Chart(记录仪软件)和Scope(示波器软件)，这两个软件用于控制多导生理记
录仪，并包含一定的显示和分析功能。这就是PowerLab的前身。
一开始，Michael仅仅在新西兰制造和销售MacLab。直到80年代末，他遇到了澳大利亚人Boris
Schlensky先生，两人一拍即合，开始一起改良MacLab并拓展全球的市场。从此，PowerLab
/MacLab渐渐成为了全球首屈一指的多导生理数据记录和分析系统。
90年代初，随着中国经济的崛起，中国的科学家开始寻找更优秀的多导生理记录仪。就在这个时
期，PowerLab被部分科学家带进了中国。由于PowerLab系统使用简便、功能强大，很快受到了广
大中国研究工作者的喜爱，渐渐成为了主流的多导生理记录仪。为了更好的服务中国的科学家们，
ADInstruments于1997年在上海成立了办事处，2000年成立了中国公司。如今，数百台
PowerLab多导生理记录仪被广泛应用于生命科学的各个领域。为了更好的为广大用户服务，我们也
将会不断的完善我们的软硬件和服务，为大家提供更新、更好的功能！
